Ancient Grain Porridge with Maple Pears and Sultanas

(2 generous serves)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup DCF Ancient Grain Porridge
  • 1 ½ Tablespoon chia seeds
  • ¼ - 1/3 cup Sultanas
  • 6-7 pecans, roughly chopped (or whatever you have in the cupboard)
  • 150ml OatUP Original
  • 300ml Water
  • Pinch Salt
  • 1 tsp maple syrup
  • ½ tsp cinnamon or mixed spice to taste

For the maple pears

  • 1 pear, sliced
  • 1 Tablespoon maple syrup
  • ½ tsp cinnamon

Method

  • Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C fan)
  • Place porridge ingredients into small casserole & stir well
  • Put on the lid and bake in the oven for 20 mins
  • Go and have a shower and get organised
  • Remove the porridge from the oven and stir. Put it back in for another 10 minutes
  • Meanwhile, place the pears, maple syrup & cinnamon in a small saucepan & simmer gently for about 5 mins until the pears are soft. Add a splash of water if needed.
  • Serve with more delicious OatUp Original & enjoy!
